Unfortunately, there have been some minor bumps in the road but WeMungo is happy to announce that it will continue on with the help of local programmer Richard Brunelle whom has now taken over the Chief Technology Officer duties. Richard is a veteran software engineer for the GoDaddy.com software competitor Verio.com. The implications of his hiring to the company will mean that WeMungo’s beta launch will once resume again and a launch date will be rescheduled once more. The WeMungo family plans to give away one free Ipod Shuffle each month for a YEAR to a random registered user from our list of e-mails. The drawings will be shown through video on our blog each month starting December 23, 2009 and ending December 23, 2010. On March 2011 WeMungo will launch it’s beta for all previously registered users. If you have yet to sign up no worries, you still have a change to become a tester. We will be taking applicants from December all through April, all you have to do is on the WeMungo home page sign up with your name and email.
Okay, well we’ve been receiving a lot of e-mails from new registeree’s about wanting to see a preview of what the web site will look like. Unfortunately, do to propriety issues (someone stealing our concept or idea) we will not be able to disclose the functionality of the site once a member has log in, but we will be able to show our beta home page to see your thoughts on it…give us feedback on whether or not you like it? and if it’s clean and understandable?
A private investor has agreed to fund the WeMungo family for the completion of it’s beta, which has been scheduled to be up late March of 2011. We are in great appreciation to those whom have guided us and pointed us to the right directions!
The WeMungo team will be heading to the FundingPost’s Boston Venture Capital Conference on June 24th, 2009 to gain insight knowledge on early stage angel and VC investing as well as to mingle and pitch investors on the WeMungo philosophy in hopes of gaining a private meeting into raising the capital needed to build a full functioning beta site. We’ll update you on the conference and investment opportunities.
